fairplaythings.com - about

History

This site is inspired by the legacy of Terry Sloane, an obscure, colourful 1940s super-hero.

Mr. Terrific made his debut in a backup story found in the first appearance of Wonder Woman, Sensation Comics #1 (January 1942). A member of the Justice Society of America, his murder was used as a plot device in a meeting of the JlA and JSA in Justice League of America #172 (November 1979). This, his "final appearance", was where I discovered Mr. Sloane and I've been a fan ever since.

I'm drawn to Terry's colourful palate and his code of fairplay. It's what I hope this site will be, a just celebration of colours and plastics. Established on July 26, 2008, fairplaythings' mission is to display some really cool toys that do not always get the love they deserve, while tempting you with some very neat customs and assorted toys. An award-winning artist, it is my hope to share with you my love of toys while providing a little place in the forest for my work to call home.

I appreciate your patronage. Feel free to drop me a line.
